About the project: FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is a musical about Tevye, a poor Jewish milkman in 1905 Russia, who struggles to uphold his religious and cultural traditions as his three older daughters seek to marry for love, defying the village matchmaker and tradition. The story is set in the Jewish village of Anatevka, which is ultimately threatened by anti-Semitic persecution, forcing the community to make the difficult choice to leave their homes. The title symbolizes the struggle to maintain life and tradition in the face of constant danger. Additional info: What To Prepare: -Please prepare 16 bars of a Musical Theatre song in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided. -Please be prepared to dance - you will be allowed to change into comfortable clothing after your vocal audition -You will be asked to read a side from the show. These sides will be emailed to you at a later date. Production Dates: Rehearsals: February 22 - April 23, 2026 In general, rehearsals will be held on Sunday, 2:00 - 5:00 PM and 6:00 - 9:00 PM, and Monday through Thursday, 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm. Not all actors are called for all rehearsals. The actual schedule will be determined once the show is cast. Performances: April 24 - May 9, 2026 Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7 PM, Saturdays (5/2 &5/9) a,nd Sundays at 2 PM If interested, please apply.
