About the project: "The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge" is a delightful and zany holiday comedy from the author of Around the World in 80 Days. A year after his miraculous transformation, Scrooge is back to his old ways, and now he’s suing Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future for breaking & entering, kidnapping, slander, pain and suffering, attempted murder, and the intentional infliction of emotional distress. An ingenious and joyous holiday event for the whole family! Additional info: Ensemble members as courtroom spectators. These young artists will be double cast and part of the Dickensian courtroom drama every night – working alongside seasoned professional actors from New York and around the country! REHEARSAL DATES: Rehearsals for young people will be scheduled as needed for evenings and weekends between Nov. 11 and 30. PERFORMANCES: Children will be double-cast and assigned certain performances. Performances begin on Dec 2, and the show runs through Dec. 21. See the attached performance schedule for specific times. The technical rehearsal process takes place between Nov. 28 – 30, and all young artists should block off their calendars for those dates. There is NO REHEARSAL scheduled on Thanksgiving, Nov. 27 and the last show is Dec 21. Students will appear on the cast list on the website and in the program!
