Casting Teen Performers for "Dear Evan Hansen" Play
Seeking teen performers for the play "Dear Evan Hansen". See the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Dear Evan Hansen (August 6 - 23) Please prepare two contrasting songs. Each one should be around one minute or a 32-bar cut of a song. Your total audition should not exceed 2 minutes in time. An accompanist will be provided for your audition. Please make sure your sheet music is in the correct key. A speaker will also be provided for those that prefer to use an accompaniment track. No acapella singing. Bring your audition book with you. Please see the attachment for details. Vocal Range: F3-E5 Connor’s younger sister. Perceptive, guarded, and skeptical of people’s intentions. Beneath her tough exterior is a vulnerable teen struggling to process her grief.
Vocal Range: A2-B4 Evan’s snarky and sarcastic family friend. Tech savvy and uses humor as a shield. Brings comic relief.
Vocal Range: F3-E5 Intelligent and driven. Seeks connection and validations through academic success and community involvement.
Vocal Range: G2-G4 Zoe’s brother. Angry and volatile. Struggles with crippling anxiety and depression, and bullies others as a coping mechanism.
