Seeking Boys and Girls for "The Reluctant Elf" Show
Looking for performers ages 8 and up for "The Reluctant Elf" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Our ‘buddy’ Steve the Elf is back by popular demand in our original holiday adventure, jam-packed with all your favorite songs of the season! Join us for this joyous, family-friendly holiday celebration featuring some of Maui’s favorite performers. Sing along, have a cup of cheer, and remember what it was like to be a child during the holidays. Additional info: This show requires much less rehearsal than most of the shows because it is only 45 minutes long, is performed with tracks rather than a band, and primarily features solos and small group numbers that are able to rehearsed with fewer people at a time. You will rehearse a max of 5 times per week. Directors have found that this makes doing shows accessible for more people and allows people the time they need to work on lines at home. Please prepare one classic holiday song. You can choose one from the show or prepare one of your own. Tracks from the show can be found in the registration link. The director may request that you do a cold read from sides of the play with a reader. If needed, sides will be provided at the audition. For this show, you will have approximately 20 rehearsals spread over 6 weeks. You’ll typically rehearse 3-5 days per week, with some of the actors only being called once per week, until tech week, which starts Saturday, November 29th. That week will involve rehearsals each day. PERFORMANCE DATES December 5 through 14th 9 Performances Only! Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 pm Saturdays at 4 pm & 7:30 pm Sundays at 2 pm If interested, please apply.
