Seeking kids and teens for "A Christmas Carol" Show. Please see the details below. About the project: The special one-hour performance (story by Charles Dickens, adapted by Dr. Andrew Harris) is an annual family tradition at MRT. Each season, more people are discovering this timeless story in a way that only MRT can tell, with families coming back every year, making it a part of their holiday season tradition. The miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is taught the true meaning and spirit of Christmas by ghosts who show him his own past and present. He is also shown what the future holds for him if he doesn't change his ways. Rate: All roles are volunteer only and are not paid; however, a stipend will be given to all actors cast in the show. Additional info: Auditions are open to everyone in the community, even if you have no experience acting! Be prepared for cold readings from the script. Please prepare 16 bars of a Christmas or Holiday song to audition for singing carolers. Headshots and resumes are not required, but welcome if you have one. REHEARSAL INFORMATION: First Rehearsal/Read Through: TBD REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from October 13 through November 13th, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. LOAD IN & SET BUILD: November 16, 2025 TECH WK REHEARSALS: November 17 - 19, 2025 from 6:30 PM - 10 PM DRESS REHEARSAL: November 20 at 6:30 PM PICK-UP REHEARSALS: November 28th at 10 AM & December 11 at 6:30 PM Please do not audition if you have any conflicts with tech week or performance dates. SHOW DATES: Total of 11 shows : Friday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 pm Saturday, Nov. 22 at 4:30 pm & 7:30 pm Friday, Nov. 28th at 1:30 pm & 4:30 pm Saturday, Nov. 29th at 1:30 pm & 4:30 pm Friday, Dec. 12th at 7:30 pm Saturday, Dec. 13th at 11 am, 1:30 pm & 4:30 pm * Saturday, Nov. 22nd at 4:30 pm will be ASL interpreted.
