Seeking Kids for "A Christmas Story: The Musical"
Canon-McMillan School District Students, in Grades 5-12, are welcome to audition for "A Christmas Story" The Musical. Please see the details below. Additional info: Enter through the school's main entrance and follow signs to our audition room. At auditions, you’ll receive a tentative schedule with rehearsal times and details on tech week, show times, ticket sales, volunteer opportunities, and more! Audition Requirements: Prepare 32 bars of a musical theater song. An Accompanist will be provided. The only reading or dancing will occur at callbacks. There will be reading or dancing at the auditions. There are only 15 available spaces, and not everyone will be cast in the show. Performance Dates: December 5th at 7:00 pm December 6th at 12 pm and 7 pm December 7th at 2:00 pm If interested, please apply.

(Stage Age: 9): A bright and mischievous 5th grader who dreams of receiving a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. He’s imaginative and charming, embodying the spirit of childhood. The actor should be an excellent singer with a vocal range of F#3 to D5 and strong stage presence.
(Stage Age: 7): Ralphie's adorable and whiny younger brother, who looks up to him and is easily persuaded to behave like a baby. The actor needs to be a good singer, dancer, and reader, with a vocal range of F#3 to D5
Ralphie's best friend, known for being the guinea pig in a flagpole licking experiment. The actor must convincingly portray a serious lisp.
Another of Ralphie's close friends, who becomes the scapegoat for Ralphie's slip-up.
A loud and intimidating school bully, older than Ralphie and known for his scowling demeanor. He’s a frequent source of trouble but shows cowardice when confronted.
Scut's smaller sidekick, who revels in bullying alongside him. His laughter complements Scut’s threats, making them a notorious duo.
