About the project: One of Broadway’s Greatest Musicals — A Tale of Dreams, Drive, and Family Widely regarded as the greatest American musical, Gypsy is a rich and rewarding show filled with iconic roles, unforgettable songs, and raw emotional power. At the center is Rose, the ultimate stage mother—bold, brash, and determined to turn her daughters into stars. But as vaudeville fades and burlesque rises, the spotlight begins to shift… and family ties are tested. Additional info: Vocal Audition: Please prepare a Broadway-style song, limited to 1 minute or 16 bars. Sheet music is preferred; a pianist will be provided. Accompaniment tracks on CD or flash drive are acceptable, provided they do not contain pre-recorded vocals and are limited to 1 minute. No smartphones or tablets, please. If you do not have a prepared song, you may be asked to sing "Happy Birthday" with piano accompaniment. Movement/Dance: Auditioners will be given stage movement and/or dance to follow.
