"Hello Dolly" Musical Needs Teens

"Hello Dolly" auditions are open to Glastonbury residents grades 7-12. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: "Hello, Dolly!" is a musical comedy about Dolly Gallagher Levi, a widowed matchmaker in 1890s New York City. Dolly orchestrates matches for others while secretly plotting to marry the wealthy half-a-millionaire, Horace Vandergelder. The story follows Dolly as she travels to Yonkers, New York, to find a wife for Horace, and how her matchmaking schemes involve Horace's clerks and niece, as well as a New York hatmaker. Ultimately, Dolly's manipulations lead her to realize she wants to marry Horace herself, and she works to win his hand, even as chaos erupts in a restaurant. Additional info: Performance dates are November 6, 7 & 8 at Gideon Wells. Rehearsals are typically Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays 3:00-5:00. Directors provide transportation to rehearsals from Smith for those who need it, but will not be offering transportation for auditions. Note that the fee will be applied. If interested, please apply.
