ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting young actors ages 7-12 for a comedy short film "Interviews with the Locals". More details are below. About the project: A mockumentary-style comedy set in skate parks, where offbeat interviews with quirky locals unfold around three delusional friends on a mission to become pro skaters — despite having zero skateboarding skills. Think Napoleon Dynamite meets Trailer Park Boys — at a skate park. This is a passion project — the short will serve as a proof of concept to help directors secure funding for a full series. Rate: Non union. Meals, and craft services will be provided. Additional information: Comedians, actors, and those comfortable with improv are strongly encouraged to apply. Filming early September 2025 in Montreal (exact dates TBD). NO SKATEBOARD EXPERIENCE NEEDED, BUT SKATERS ARE ENCOURAGE IN APPLYING. (Can be a short teen who looks younger) Must have some skateboarding ability. He's high-energy, super friendly, and magnetic. Even the older skaters want to hang out with him. He's confident, enthusiastic, and stoked about everything - especially the fact that his mom wants to learn how to skate.

The BoyfriendMale7-12 y.o.All ethnicities

(Can be a short teen who looks younger). He knows a few basic tricks on a scooter and has a big crush on Jane even tells his friends she's his girlfriend. He's always excited to be at the park and leads the crew of younger boys who hang there. While he tries to act confident and cocky, it's mostly a front. (Must be able to push on a scooter no advanced skill required).
