About the project: The holiday classic soars off the screen in this musical adaptation of the beloved television special. Filled with holiday hits like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "A Holly Jolly Christmas," Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer™ JR. features all of your favorite characters including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and, of course, Rudolph. It’s an adventure that teaches us that what makes you different can be what makes you special. Because of his shiny nose, Rudolph doesn't feel like he belongs in Christmastown and sets off to find a place that accepts him. Along his journey, he encounters fellow misfits, only to realize that home is where he has belonged the whole time. When a storm threatens to keep Santa's sleigh from taking flight, it's up to Rudolph to save Christmas! Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr is a training production. Students will work with a creative team of theater teachers, voice teachers, and dance choreographers. Students will grow their skills and learn while putting together a 75minute production. Additional info: Rehearsals: Choose Mondays or Tuesdays ( or both!) Mondays 4:15-6:45pm: September: 8, 15, 22, 29 and October: 6, 13, 20 ( No rehearsal the day after Between the Lines Jr performance weekend) and November: 3,10,17 Tuesdays 1:30-4:00pm: September: 9, 16, 23, 30 and October: 7, 14, 28 ( No rehearsal during Between the Lines Jr Tech ) and November: 4,11,18 Fridays- small groups or ALL cast will be scheduled: September: 12, 19, 26 and October: 3, 10, 17 ( No rehearsal during Between the Lines Jr Tech or on Halloween ) and November: 4,11,18 Tech Rehearsal: November 24th 1:30-9:00pm Performances: November 28th and 30th Please see the attachment for details.
