Young Talent Auditions for Musical Production "Matilda"

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking boys and girls ages 10+ for musical "Matilda". More details are below. About the musical: "Matilda the Musical" is a captivating, award-winning adaptation based on Roald Dahl's beloved children's book. It follows the story of Matilda, a brilliant and resilient young girl with extraordinary powers. Despite facing adversity from her neglectful parents and a tyrannical headmistress, she discovers the importance of friendship, imagination, and standing up for what is right in a whimsical, enchanting world. Tim Minchin's catchy and energetic score perfectly complements the vibrant choreography and stunning visuals. With an energetic cast, "Matilda the Musical" is a celebration of the magic within every child to change their story and spark inspiration in others. Show Dates: February 7th & 8th, 2025 (evening show on 7th, matinee and evening on 8th) in Fort Saskatchewan Rehearsal Schedule: September - December 2025: Soloist and small group vocal rehearsals: Tuesdays 6:00pm - 9:00pm. Full Cast Rehearsals: Thursdays 6:00pm - 9:00pm & Saturdays 9am - 12pm. January - February 2026: Full Cast Rehearsals: Tuesdays 6:00pm - 9:00pm; Thursdays 6:00pm - 9:00pm; Saturdays 9am - 12pm (10 am - 4pm Jan 11, Jan 18 & Feb 1). Show Week (February 3rd - 8th 2026): As requested and/or scheduled. Please do not plan anything during this week. Soloist and Small Group Vocal Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays, but will be scheduled by character or song. Not all vocalists will be needed each week or for the full rehearsal period.
