Something Rotten JR. follows the Bottom brothers, Nick and Nigel, as they struggle to write a hit play in Renaissance England while competing with the rock star playwright of their time – William Shakespeare! This toe-tapping musical is packed with witty humor, catchy songs, and plenty of opportunities for our talented students to shine. From soothsayers to minstrels, from the streets of London to the theater stages, every performer will have their moment to dazzle the audience with comedy, song, and dance! With our 14-18 age group delivering college-level performances, this production promises to be absolutely spectacular! Additional info: Please note: there is a production fee applied. For Leading Roles: Actors interested in leading roles will sing a few measures of any song. Most choose to sing a cappella, and any song works – even “Happy Birthday!” Dance Component: All actors will be taught a dance routine and asked to repeat it Supportive Environment: Remember, every student gets a role, so relax and have fun showing us your talents!
