About the project: Based on the novel Carrie, by Steven King, this musical focuses on Carrie White, an awkward teenage girl with telekinetic powers, whose lonely life is dominated by her oppressive religious fanatic mother, Margaret. When she is humiliated by her classmates at the high school prom, she unleashes chaos on everyone and everything in her path out of vengeance. Additional info: Callbacks will be: Wednesday, July 23rd at 6:30 pm Those auditioning should bring sheet music and prepare 16-24 bars of an up-tempo rock opera song (not from Carrie: The Musical) that shows off vocal range and personality. An accompanist will be provided. Please do not bring tracks or sing acapella. The audition will also include cold readings from the script for the roles of Carrie and Margaret. Please note that the dance auditions will be held both days. Please bring a change of clothes to dance. Please come prepared with potential rehearsal conflict dates (evenings you are not available, any vacation periods, etc.) The show will be produced at Jenks Auditorium on November 7-9 and 14-16, 2025. Loaded with sexual dynamite, she has serious daddy and anger-management issues. Her voice is pop-rock percussive and powerful.
