Singing Audition for "Anastasia" The Broadway Musical
"Anastasia" The Broadway Musical is in need of kids and teens. Please refer to the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: From Tony winners Terrence McNally, Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, creators of such Broadway classics as Ragtime and Once On This Island, this dazzling show transports its audience from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing con man and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love and family. Additional info: Please prepare an audition song for your audition. Your audition song should be 30 seconds in length, meaning you can perform a section from a song instead of the full length. 30 seconds of a song is about the length of the average verse or chorus. If your song selection in longer than 30 seconds, the audition panel may cut your song short. This is done to keep the audition moving as directors will have many people to listen to. When choosing an audition song, directors recommend that you choose a song that showcases the range, vocal technique, or song style of the part you are trying out for. You do not need to prepare any scene or monologue. The audition scenes will be provided ahead of time, and directors will have copies provided at the audition. No memorization is required, but familiarity with the audition material would be helpful. Wear clothes and shoes that you would feel comfortable moving in during the audition. The audition sides are attached. Please arrive early to the audition so that you can fill out the audition paperwork. Directors estimate that the paperwork takes about ten minutes to complete. If you would like to work ahead on your paperwork, download the fillable form attached. You can bring a printout of your completed form to the audition. Directors ask that you make sure you look at the schedule and code of conduct attached before completing your form. If interested, please apply.
