"9 to 5" Musical Auditions for Teenagers

Casting boys and girls ages 16 and up for "9 to 5" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: 9 to 5 The Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s. This hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic. Additional info: PERFORMANCE DATES: September 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 WHAT: Prepare a 90-second song and be prepared to learn a short group dance. Please arrive a little early to fill out audition information, and be ready to list any potential rehearsal conflicts between July 11 and showtime. HOW AUDITIONS WORK: Each 40-minute time slot includes both a singing and dancing portion. The dancing portion will include the people from the next 40 minutes to dance as a group of 12. (Example: 6:00-6:40 Group 1: Sing First, Dance with Group 2 / 6:20-7:00 Group 2: Dance with Group 1, Sing Second; and repeat!) Auditions MAY include some cold reading, but more likely that this will happen at callbacks. If interested, please apply.
