Additional info: Callbacks: Oct 25, 2025, 10 am-2 pm Cast/Parent Meeting: December 17, 2025, 5:30-7:00 pm Rehearsals Begin: January 5, 2026, Mostly Monday-Friday, 5:30-7:30 pm, with occasional Saturday or Sunday rehearsals; rehearsals go til 8:30 pm starting Jan 26, 2026. School Shows: February 5 & 6, 2026 Public Shows: February 6-8, 2026 - All auditionees are required to prepare a 30-second to 1-minute monologue. - Auditionees should choose a monologue that shows off strong acting choices and that is age-appropriate. - Memorization of your monologue is highly encouraged. - If you do not have a monologue, one will be provided for you at auditions. Monologues are available ahead of time, one month before auditions, at the Spartanburg Youth Theatre offices in the kiosk at the end of the hallway when you walk down the stairs to our area. You may use one of these monologues, or you may use one of your own choosing. - Bring your schedule to fill in all of your potential rehearsal conflicts on the audition form—conflicts may NOT be added after casting! A miller who doesn’t have much and has to hunt deer in order to survive; keeps getting caught by the Sheriff for hunting deer; desires to avenge his father’s death at the hands of Sheriff.
Spoiled and a completely incompetent ruler of the kingdom; obsessed with money; actor should have excellent comedic timing.
One of the maids that served in Prince John’s court; spunky and street smart; Prince John uses her to lure in Robin Hood, but she sees through his motives.
Tall and commanding, he becomes Robin Hood’s right hand man, but initially they square off with each other before they know they can trust one another.
Man who Sheriff has hired to perform a ceremony for Marian to get married; a fun comedic cameo character who is always hungry and seen eating.
A loving father to Marian; he is used as a pawn in Prince John’s scheme to catch Robin Hood; thinks that Marian just needs a husband to cure her from her thoughts of loving Robin Hood.
2 actors that keep the story moving and in transition moments act as beggars and interact with the audience; will also double as Muso and Will, Robin Hood’s merry men who help him along his adventures.
