"Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" Needs Boys and Girls
Talent in grades 3-12 from MSAD 35 are welcome to audition for the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" tells the story of Charlie Bucket, a poor boy who, along with four other children, wins a golden ticket to tour Willy Wonka's mysterious chocolate factory. During the tour, the other children, each representing a negative trait, are eliminated due to their misbehavior, leaving Charlie, who possesses kindness and virtue, to inherit the factory. Additional info: Please arrive at least 15 minutes earlier than your time slot, to give enough time to fill out the audition form & rehearse. One by one, you will be asked to stand and sing your song and read your monologue. Callbacks will take place on Thursday, September 11th in H108 from 4 pm-7 pm. Impish. He is Charlie's imaginative, fun, kind and loving grandfather. After many years being confined to a bed, his childish energy returns when Charlie finds the Golden Ticket. Vocal Range: G#2-G4
Charlie's warm and kind-hearted mother. Worrier. Generous and loving. Vocal Range: G3-E5
Rampantly over-active. Vocal Range: Bb3 - G5
Augustus's German, moronic, Wagnerian mother. Mirthlessly smiles as though it were affixed to the front of her face. Vocal Range: Bb3-D5
Vicious and determined. Vocal Range: Ab4-Db5
Veruca's goofy, eccentric, distracted, hilarious father. Finds it impossible to say no, giving in to every ridiculous demand his daughter makes. Vocal Range: Ab2-Ab4

Violet's ineffectual father. Ignores his back-talking, insult-hurling daughter. Vocal Range: F#3-G4
A fireplug with a ridiculous amount of energy. Vocal Range: G3-Bb4
She needs amphetamines to get through the day and deal with her outrageous son. Tense, extreme, and hilarious. Vocal Range: G3-Eb5
