Performers ages 16 and up are needed to audition for the "Coriolanus" Play. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Rate: Paid stipend! Additional info: Auditions will consist of a one- to two-minute Shakespeare monologue of your choice. Callbacks will consist of cold readings from the script. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Callbacks: July 22nd, time TBD. Show dates: October 10 through October 26, 2025, Thursday through Sunday, with matinees on Saturday and Sunday. All performances will take place at the North 4th Theatre. Rehearsals begin the week of August 17th, 2025. A read-through of the play is scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2025. If interested, please apply.

A Roman general, he is given the name “Coriolanus” after he leads the Roman armies to victory against the Volscian city of Corioles. Brave, fearsome in battle, and extremely honorable, he is also overly proud, immature, inflexible, and stubbornly aristocratic. These faults, combined with a fierce contempt for the lower classes of Rome, led to his exile from his native city.
