Casting Teens for "The Importance of Being Earnest" Play

Performers ages 12 and up are welcome to audition for "The Importance of Being Earnest" Play. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Please be prepared with a resume and be prepared to cold-read from the script. Presentation of a 1-minute monologue appropriate for the play would be preferred. It is a farcical comedy, depicting the tangled affairs of two young men about town who lead double lives to evade unwanted social obligations, both assuming the name Ernest while wooing the two young women of their affections. The play will be performed on Friday, August 22, Saturday, August 23, and Sunday, August 24. Rehearsals start with a read-through on Thursday, July 3. Rehearsal dates will vary as to who is to be called when, but will usually take place Monday through Thursday evenings at about 6:30 PM. This is subject to change. If interested, please apply.
