Singing Audition for "The Story of Hansel and Gretel" Musical
Seeking young performers for "The Story of Hansel and Gretel" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Your audiences will delight in this sweet and charming musical adaptation. Sent into the woods, Hansel and Gretel meet up with a number of peculiar characters. A fiery troll guards his little wooden bridge. Even more, an articulate owl, a forest sprite, and two hobgoblins are in the service of an evil (but extremely funny) witch. She locks poor Hansel in a cage and feeds him nothing but cake! Everyone will cheer Gretel as she outwits the crone and sets free all the children who have been turned into cookies! Every dramatic moment is brought to life, from the night spent in the woods to the discovery of the candy-coated little cottage. Sweetened delightfully with music, all will enjoy the fun of songs like ’Gingerbread Witch’ and ’Apple Muffin Goblins.’ Additional info: Performers should come prepared to sing 32 measures of a prepared song, learn 8 bars of choreography, and read a prepared monologue. Children must be accompanied to the audition by one parent (parents will be asked to wait in the lobby until the audition is complete) Rehearsals will be held Saturdays from 1-4 PM starting September 6th. Performances will be held on November 22nd and 23rd. Please download the attachment to complete the form. If interested, please apply.
