Kid Actors Needed for "Cinderella" Show
Looking for talents ages 8 and up for the "Cinderella" Show. Please see the details below. About the project: Get ready to be swept away by the timeless tale of Cinderella, the definitive rags-to-riches story that has charmed and inspired audiences all over the world. Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella is the new Broadway adaptation of the classic musical. This contemporary take on the treasured fairy tale features some of their most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible,” and “Ten Minutes Ago” in this romantic (and hilarious) update. Winning nine 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, critics called it, “Reassuringly old-fashioned and refreshingly irreverent, sentimental and snarky, sincere and ironic, all at once!” Additional info: No prior theatrical experience is required. Auditions will consist of singing and cold readings from the script. Auditionees should be 8 years of age or older. Note that all speaking roles will require an age 17 or older. There will be a limited number of children 8-16, used in ensemble numbers and for specialized puppetry tasks. Everyone should be prepared with 16 to 32 bars of any Rodgers and Hammerstein song that showcases their ability. No unaccompanied singing will be permitted. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring paper copies of your sheet music in the appropriate key. A song will be taught to those without a prepared number. Everyone will participate in a general movement audition. No special dance clothing is required, just clothes and shoes that are comfortable to move in. Actors must be available for all performances (September 16 through September 21, 2025). Availability for rehearsals will be asked at auditions. Please be prepared to list all conflicts from auditions through performance dates. Rehearsals are expected to begin at 7:00 p.m. If interested, please apply.
