Looking for talents between 10 and 17 years old for "Secrets Lie Beyond" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: It's been a year and a half since Silas's mother disappeared. Between his grieving father, and the loneliness that living in the countryside can bring, Silas has a lot on his mind. But when signs from his Mother begin to appear, Silas can't ignore them. His Mother's alive, and it's up to him to save her. Throughout his journey, he'll encounter beasts of another world, a boy with no memories of his own, and an empress destined for revenge. Additional info: Performances will be held in DeKalb Illinois and the surrounding area across two weekends. November 15th, 16th, and 17th, and November 21st and November 22nd. Rehearsals will be held at the DeKalb Area Women's Center in DeKalb, Illinois. Starting in August, we will meet three times a week. Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. Dates subject to change. Prepare to audition with the character’s featured songs. There are demo tracks to help you learn the music, and instrumental tracks for you to audition with. No character has a set vocal range. All character ranges are flexible, and songs can be transposed to any key. In addition to the featured audition songs, you may choose to submit a secondary audition song of your choice. Choose one that showcases your vocal strengths. Audition materials are attached. Please note that it is not required to audition with a secondary audition song, but it is required to audition with a featured character song. Certain characters have two featured songs. You may choose between the two. It is not required to sing both. If interested, please apply. In your video audition, you will act out a piece of dialogue from the show for the character you’re auditioning for. Have someone off-screen read the other lines in the scene. If you cannot find a scene partner for your audition, there are many apps on the App Store and Google Play Store that can read lines for you. You can choose to audition for as many characters and with as many featured songs as you like, but if you decide to audition for multiple characters, please submit them as separate videos within the same audition form. Upload your audition to Google Drive or submit it as an unlisted YouTube video. Links can be submitted in the audition Form.

A strange boy that Silas comes across. His memory is spotty, and it seems he can’t recall many details about his life. On his quest to get home, he seeks out Evangeline’s help. He is Silas’s traveling companion.

A fairy who has been trapped in a mystical meadow for decades. She’s grieving the loss of her son who she was never able to see again after Empress Tiana imprisoned her.
