About the project: Into the Woods is a musical that intertwines the plots of several classic fairy tales, including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Rapunzel. The story follows a Baker and his Wife who desperately want to have a child but are cursed by a Witch. To break the curse, they must venture into the woods to find four specific items: a cow as white as milk, a cape as red as blood, hair as yellow as corn, and a slipper as pure as gold. As they journey through the woods, they encounter familiar characters from the fairy tales, each pursuing their own wishes and facing the consequences of their actions. The characters' paths intersect, leading to unexpected twists and turns as they confront moral dilemmas and the consequences of their desires. Additional info: Shows: October 24th-November 9th Callbacks will follow auditions by directors invite. Please bring/include any conflicts you may have so we are able to work with your schedule. Rapunzel-is a young woman with flowing hair locked away in a tower by a witch. Sheltered and naive, she yearns for freedom and adventure beyond the confines of her imprisonment. Despite her isolation, Rapunzel possesses a gentle spirit and a longing for connection. Her story intertwines with others in the woods, leading her on a journey of self-discovery and eventual liberation.
Rapunzel’s Prince-is a determined royal driven by passion and adventure. Confident and impulsive, he chases after love with charm but struggles to foresee consequences.
