"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" Seeks Kids
Talented performers ages 6–18 needed for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" auditions. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: What to prepare and bring: Song: Be prepared to perform 32 measures (no longer than 1 minute) of any song that highlights your voice. This should be a Broadway-type song. You should sing with karaoke-type music (no vocals) downloaded on your phone or other device. There will not be an accompanist. (Please note, no WiFi is available in our building and cell service is spotty, so please have any music pre-downloaded.) Monologue: You should perform a monologue no longer than 1 minute that demonstrates your acting ability. Dress to dance. A short piece of choreography will be taught and performed as part of the audition process. Come prepared to share you special talents, including tap dance, tumbling and ballroom dancing! An actress with a strong rock singing voice (high best to E full range Mezzo) who is strong on comedy and moves well. Tenor vocalist if played by a male performer.
Tenor. The eleventh son of Jacob. Obviously his father's favourite, Joseph early on shows a talent for interpreting dreams and telling the future. This gets him into trouble with his brothers when he predicts his future will include ruling over the other eleven. However, it saves his life when in Egypt he correctly interprets Pharaoh's dreams.
