Casting Teens for "Young Frankenstein" Show

Seeking performers who are 16 years old and up for the "Young Frankenstein" Show. Please see the details below. About the project: From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation, The Producers, comes this monster new musical comedy. The comedy genius, Mel Brooks, adapts his legendarily funny film into a brilliant stage creation – Young Frankenstein! Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced "Fronk-en-steen") inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced "Eye-gore"), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. "It's alive!" he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather's. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds. Additional info: Please prepare 16-32 bars of a Musical Theatre piece that complements the show's style. An accompanist will be provided, so please be sure to mark your sheet music so it is easy to read. You may also bring in a track to sing along with if that is more comfortable. Directors will have a Bluetooth speaker available. Come prepared to dance as you will be asked to learn and perform a short dance call in musical theatre style. Please note, this show does include a tap number, so please notify or mark on the audition sheet if you have any tap experience. Please bring or be prepared to fill out the attached audition form at the auditions. Conflicts with tech rehearsals and performances will not be allowed. Directors will not be accepting conflicts past September 25th. TECH WEEK REHEARSALS: The first FULL CAST tech rehearsal will be Sunday September 28th. This Full tech rehearsal is mandatory for ALL ACTORS and CREW. Tech week then runs the rest of the next week, M-TH, starting at 6 pm, leading up to opening night. TECH REHEARSALS AND ALL PERFORMANCES ARE MANDATORY!
