Additional info: Looking for 20–28 strong actors with diverse skills in acting, singing, and dancing. WHAT TO PREPARE: - 16–32 bars of a classic or Golden Age musical theater song (not from Anything Goes). - Choose a piece that shows off your vocal strength and traditional style. - Bring marked sheet music in a binder for the accompanist. SONGWRITER SUGGESTIONS: Irving Berlin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein, Lerner & Loewe, Jule Styne, and others from the 1940s–1960s era. Hope’s mother, a widow. Stressed by everything, especially her financial situation. Arranges Hope to marry Evelyn to secure Hope’s and especially her future. Loves her dog Cheeky more than anything. [non-singing]
