Seeking young performers for singing auditions for "Cinderella." See full details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella was the most widely viewed program in the history of the medium. Its recreation in 1965 starring Lesley Ann Warren was no less successful in transporting a new generation to the miraculous kingdom of dreams-come-true, and so was a second remake in 1997, which starred Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother. As adapted for the stage, this romantic fairy tale still warms the hearts of children and adults alike. Additional info: Please note: there is a production fee applied. Performances August 6 and 7 – 10 am August 6, 7, 8 & 9 – 7:30 pm August 9 & 10 – 2 pm Prepare a 1-minute cut (approximately 32 bars) of a musical theater song or any song you feel confident and comfortable singing. Feel free to bring sheet music in the correct key if you would like an accompanist to play along with you, although not required. Actors may be asked to read from a selection of short scenes.
