"Promise on the Hill" Teen Audition for the Theater

About the project: Promise on the Hill, is the telling of the Jewish immigrant and first-generation community that inhabited West Colfax in the 1940s-60s. It is told through the eyes of Max Appel whose immigrant parents settled in the area with barely a hope in their pockets but came to be significant contributors to their community and the city of Denver. This production will include actors of all ethnicities. ABOUT THE SHOW: “Promise on the Hill” is a theatrical memoir of Max Appel that invites us to take a step back into history and explore the Jewish community that once populated Denver’s Westside. Rate: All Roles will be paid per performance, approximately $70 per show. There will be 10 shows. Additional info: Rehearsals will be Monday through Friday evenings beginning May 12th, with Tech beginning June 6th Performances are Thursday through Sunday June 12-29 Videos must be submitted by midnight on Friday, May 2, 2025, to be considered for casting. When applying, please send your name, character(s) you’re auditioning for, and a 1-3 minute monologue of your choice that showcases your skills. If you are a singer, please sing 1-2 verses of a song, a capella. Please send your audition videos with a headshot and resume. Please ensure videos are not locked, or send along the password if they are password protected. Google Drive links, or unlisted YouTube videos will be accepted.
