Seeking performers ages 17 and up for "Into the Woods" Play. Please see the details below. About the project: Step into the enchanted world of "Into the Woods," Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's beloved musical that intertwines classic fairy tales with a twist. Additional info: For the vocal audition, participants will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner", which is available in three different keys; please choose the key that best suits your vocal range. In addition to a vocal audition, everyone will participate in cold readings from the Into the Woods script. No monologue preparation is necessary. Rehearsals will typically be held between 6 and 9 pm Monday through Thursday, with some possible weekend rehearsals, at Prairie Players Civic Theatre. At auditions, you will be asked to list all conflicts between May 12 and July 3. Tech week starts July 6 and performances are July 11-13 at the Galesburg Orpheum Theatre, 57 S. Kellogg Street, Galesburg. Attendance at tech week rehearsals is mandatory. Attached is the audition form that you can review or print and fill out to bring with you to auditions.
