Cantate Children's and Youth Choir Auditions

Cantate Children’s and Youth Choir of Central Virginia seeks children and youth singers for the spring 2026 semester. Informal, simple auditions are being held by appointment on January 12th, 13th and 14th from 2-5pm. The spring semester begins January 26th. Rehearsals mostly occur on Mondays from 4:15-6:15pm. The spring semester will culminate in a concert on Sunday, May 3 at 4:00 pm. Cantate is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing healthy vocal training and exceptional musical experiences to the children and youth of Central Virginia. The choir accepts students in 2nd grade thru high school and is headquartered at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 205 Elmwood Avenue, Lynchburg, Virginia 24503. Each chorister receives training in proper vocal production, note reading and singing in parts. Cantate is currently in its 33rd season.
