God of Death (Tenor/Baritenor) A sly and shadowy trickster who delights in claiming souls. He thrives on fear, suffering, and the certainty that all must eventually meet him. He sees Ti Moune’s love as a wager and waits, eager to collect what is owed to him.
Goddess of the Earth (Mezzo/Soprano) Bold, warm, and larger than life, Asaka provides the islanders with land, food, and shelter. She is a motherly yet no-nonsense presence who values practicality over dreams. She finds Ti Moune’s love story amusing, but she is not one to blindly indulge in fantasy
God of Water (Bass/Baritone) Mysterious and moody like the ocean itself, Agwe is both a bringer of life and destruction. He sends the storm that changes Ti Moune’s fate, watching her story unfold with a mix of amusement and curiosity.
Goddess of Love (Soprano) Gentle yet powerful, Erzulie believes that love is the greatest force of all. She convinces the other gods to grant Ti Moune’s wish, believing in the strength of true love—though even she does not control its outcome.
(Soprano/High Belt) A peasant girl with a heart full of dreams. She believes she was saved by the gods for a greater purpose and longs for a world beyond her small village. She falls deeply in love with Daniel, making a promise to the gods to save his life, unaware of the true cost of her devotion.
A young girl found in a tree after a great storm. Stubborn, curious, and full of wonder, she is the spark that sets the story in motion.
(Tenor) A privileged young man, heir to a wealthy hotel chain. He is grateful to Ti Moune for saving him and cares for her in his own way, but he never truly sees her as his equal. Though not intentionally cruel, he is blind to the pain his choices cause.
A strict and imposing figure who values status above all. He insists that Daniel marry Andrea to uphold their family’s legacy.
(Mezzo) Daniel’s sophisticated and wealthy fiancée. She is polite but cold, seeing Ti Moune as nothing more than a passing distraction.
A Frenchman who built wealth on the island, treating the peasants as playthings. He fathered a son with one, beginning the Beauxhomme lineage, but was driven out during the war.
A featured soloist in “The Sad Tale of the Beauxhomme”, playing Armand’s wife.
A loyal servant of the Beauxhommes, tasked with keeping peasants out of their world. He enjoys his job far too much and has no sympathy for Ti Moune.

The wealthy elite of the island, descended from French settlers. They live in excess and look down upon the peasants, enjoying lavish parties and material wealth but lacking the heart of the islanders.
