Forced to care for himself, an entirely unexpected encounter between OLIVER and BELLA brings the sense of connection he had been seeking from his father. THE ONES WE CALL FAMILY is a project where feeling and vulnerability take center stage. The film has little dialogue, with a strong emphasis on the unspoken emotions between the characters. Any dialogue that is present serves more as a guideline than something to be followed word for word.
