Casting Young Boys for "Steak" Film
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting two boys ages 8-10 for "Steak" film. More details are below. About the project: Tom, an 8-year-old kid, sits at the kitchen table, staring intently at a blank piece of paper, struggling to come up with something to draw. His grandmother, looking like she walked straight out of a Pixar movie, is happily cooking steak. She notices Tom's silence and asks what’s wrong. But Tom, afraid because he doesn’t know what to draw, says nothing. His stomach growls, answering for him. Grandmother gets the message—he’s just hungry. She garnishes the steak and places it on a plate in front of him. Rate: Non-Union This is a Volunteer Project that will be sent to Film Festivals. IMDB credit will be provided. Tom is an 8–10-year-old boy and Grandmother’s grandson. He has a deep desire to be creative, but his hunger constantly affects his focus. Unlike other kids who might rely on strength, Tom depends on his intelligence and considers himself smart. However, more than being smart, he is obedient—he follows the rules, even when he questions them. No matter how much he doubts authority, the moment an authority figure steps in, he submits, even against his own will.
John is Tom’s cousin, roughly the same age—8 to 10 years old. A natural manipulator, he believes the world is his for the taking; all he has to do is play the game his way. He is cunning, intelligent, and knows exactly how to pit people against each other to get what he wants. And in this moment, he wants only one thing—to steal all of Tom’s steak.
