"Pirates of Penzance" Theatre Play Seeks Teenagers
Looking to cast teen performers for the "Pirates of Penzance" Play. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: This classic Gilbert and Sullivan musical is full of hummable tunes, word play, unexpected encounters, and zombies. That’s right, the Pirates are zombies. Don’t worry, the maidens are still fair, and the Police remain brash, bumbling, Brits. Additional info: There will be an opportunity to sing, read from a script, and dance. Directors ask that you prepare a classical or traditional Broadway vocal selection of 16-32 bars. Please bring sheet music or a music track to sing along with. Both an accompanist and Bluetooth speakers will be provided. Headshot/resume are welcome but not required. All roles are available. Pirates of Penzance will be performed July 18, 19, 24, 25, & 26 at 8:00 PM and July 20 at 2:00 PM at the Mason Community Playhouse. A potential seventh show may be added on Saturday, July 26, at 2:00 PM. If interested, please apply.
