"Young People's Competition" Needs Boys and Girls

Students in kindergarten through 11th grade have the chance to perform during the "Young People's Competition". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: This is a Symphony concert. Guidelines: -Play any musical instrument/sing (solos, duets, trios & quartets are accepted) -Memorize musical selection of their choice (2 minutes maximum) -Be enrolled in grades K-11 (grade cut-off date: June 30, 2025) -Reside in Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Jasper, Newton, or Starke Counties OR study with teachers in the above counties OR be a member of the Northwest Indiana Symphony Youth Orchestra -Must provide accompanist for auditions (Winners must provide their own Symphony-approved accompanist at the concert) -Contestant may not have been a winner in the same event for the 2024-25 season. -Pay the audition fee.
