About the project: Set in 1899, Newsies JR. follows Jack Kelly and his band of young newspaper sellers as they rally together to fight for fairness against the powerful publishers of New York. Inspired by true events, this high-energy musical features hits like “Seize the Day,” “Carrying the Banner,” and “King of New York.” With powerful themes of resilience, friendship, and standing up for what’s right, Newsies JR. is a fantastic opportunity for young performers to shine! Additional info: Please note: there is a production fee applied. Performance Dates: August 1-3 & August 8-10 Prepare a short song of your choice (a Broadway or Disney song is recommended). Be ready for cold readings from the script. A basic movement audition will be included—come dressed comfortably to move! No experience necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and energy!
