Children Casting Call for "Bye Bye Birdie" Show

Young performers are invited to audition for the "Bye Bye Birdie" Show. Please see the details below. About the project: ​Bye Bye Birdie is a delightful throwback to the 1950s rock & roll. Teen idol Conrad Birdie’s draft into the military brings him to “Small Town USA” for a farewell performance and a highly publicized last kiss for his biggest fan. Additional info: Please prepare 16 to 32 bars of a classical or contemporary musical theater selection (provide sheet music; no acappella; no recordings). Be prepared to dance. Please come prepared to list any conflicts you would have during the rehearsal process from March – June 2025 (vacations, classes, work, travel, etc.). Rehearsals are Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. All technical rehearsals and performances are mandatory. Rehearsals begin: 3/17 Tech rehearsals: Daily, Saturday 6/28/25 to Thursday 7/10/25 (except for 7/4). Performances will be 7/11/25 through 8/3/25 (Fridays @ 8 PM, Saturdays @ 8 PM, and Sundays @ 3 PM). Brush-up rehearsals: Wednesday evenings; 7/16/25, 7/23/25 & 7/30/25 If interested, please apply.
