Casting Call for Boys and Girls for "A Midsummer Night’s Dream"

Performers ages 10 and up are encouraged to audition for "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" Play. Please see the details below. About the project: This version of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is a one-act and 80 minutes long. “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is set in Athens and consists of numerous subplots that revolve around the marriage of King Theseus and Queen Hippolyta. One subplot involves a conflict among four teenage Athenian lovers. Another follows a group of six amateur actors rehearsing the play in which they are to perform before the wedding. Both groups of humans find themselves in a forest inhabited by fairies who manipulate the humans and are engaged in their own domestic intrigue. “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is one of Shakespeare’s most popular and widely performed plays. Additional info: The auditions for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will be a cold reading from the script. Performance dates for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “The Arkansaw Bear” are Friday nights on April 25th and May 2nd. The productions will have four matinee performances at 2:00 p.m. on April 26th, April 27th, May 3rd, and May 4th. If interested, please apply.
