Teen Girl Needed for Dramedy Musical "Apothecary"
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Directors are currently in need of a girl ages 15+ for musical "Apothecary". More details are below. About the musical: Creators of the award-winning Canadian dramedy musical, “Every Silver Lining”, Laura Piccinin and Allison Wither present a new musical exploring women’s experiences in medicine from time immemorial. “Apothecary” tells the story of a magical and timeless sanctuary for all women in need, no matter when they’re from. Rate: Will be working under CAEA’s Festival Policy and payment will be profit-share. A minimum of $300 per person is expected. Additional information: callbacks on March 2nd, 2025, time TBD. Actors will prepare 1 scene from the show (sent upon invitation to audition) and 1 song of your choice. Actors are encouraged to accompany themselves on any instrument if possible. Rehearsal and performance dates: Rehearsals will take place various days between June 12th and June 29th, with a 1-day tech rehearsal (date TBD) between June 25th-July 2nd, 2025. Performances (7) will take place July 2nd-13th as part of the Toronto Fringe Festival. When applying, please submit your head shot, resume, and short cover letter/introduction (which can include additional roles you would like to be considered for). Please also indicate Equity status, if/what instrument you play, and any known conflicts between June 12th and July 13th, 2025.
