Singing Opportunities for Kids in "Matilda The Musical"

Seeking kids ages 10 and up for "Matilda The Musical". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: This captivating show tells the inspiring story of a brilliant young girl with extraordinary powers, courage, and imagination. It's a high-energy musical filled with catchy songs, spectacular dance numbers, and unforgettable characters, including Matilda, Miss Honey, and the terrifying Miss Trunchbull. Rate: Unpaid. Additional info: Whether you’re an experienced performer or ready to take your skills to the next level, this is your chance to be part of an unforgettable theatrical experience. Please come prepared to: Perform 16 bars of an upbeat Broadway-style song that shows your range, stage presence, and acting ability. Bring sheet music, an accompanist will be provided. (Acapella auditions will not be considered.) Learn and then perform a short dance routine. Wear clothes you can move in. Sneakers or dance shoes (jazz, character, etc.) are a must. Provide a complete list of all possible schedule conflicts through June 7th. Callbacks will be held Wednesday, March 5th at Kensington Town Hall at 7 pm. Rehearsals will be held 3 times per week, mostly Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, beginning March 24. A tentative schedule of rehearsals will be provided at auditions.
