Singing Audition for "The Sound of Music" Show

About the project: The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world’s most beloved musical. Featuring a trove of cherished songs, including “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” and the title number, The Sound of Music won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars. The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria, and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision. Additional info: Auditions have you reading from the script and performing 16 bars of a song from the show, you will read and audition with others who are auditioning also. Rehearsals are twice a week, usually on a Monday at 7 pm and on Saturday at 10:30 am. You may have a conflict with SOME rehearsals BUT must be able to attend. Production Week Jun. 9 - Jun. 12 and EVERY performance!! The show performances are: June 13, 14, 20, and 21 at 8 pm June 15 and 22 at 2 pm. There are 6 performances. 4 Evenings and 2 Matinees Evenings are on Friday and Saturday at 8 pm, and Matinees are on Sundays at 2 pm. If interested, please apply.
