Casting Call for Boys and Girls for "Something Rotten Jr!"

Audition for "Something Rotten Jr!". The recommended age range for participating in this show is 8-13, but these ages are a guideline. Preference in casting will be given to those within this age range. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Show Information- In the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as "The Bard." When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to their own self, and all that jazz. Additional info: What to Prepare - Please come to the audition with a completed audition form and a signed outdated calendar. Please be prepared to sing 16-32 bars of a song from the show! An accompanist will be provided, so please bring sheet music if you can, you also have the option of bringing a track without lyrics. Please be prepared to participate in a dance call for this audition. (If auditioning virtually, please record yourself dancing along to the provided dance materials. These will be posted in mid-January) Please be prepared to stay up to an hour after your indicated arrival time. You may be asked to do cold reads from the script. Please note that the fee applies. Show Dates: Thursday, April 24 at 7 pm, Friday, April 25 at 7 pm, Saturday, April 26 at 1 pm & 7 pm, Sunday, April 27 at 1 pm & 7 pm.
