About the project: Based on the 1975 documentary of the same name, Grey Gardens explores the complex relationship between Edith Bouvier Beale and her daughter “Little Edie” alongside a colorful cast of friends, relatives, and felines. Opening in an era of glamour and ending with the mansion crumbling around them, mother and daughter each seek independence, meaning, and fulfillment in their own ways. Additional info: PERFORMANCE DATES: March 28-April 6 SINGING: Please prepare 16 to 32 bars of a song of your choosing. An accompanist will be available and you will need to provide sheet music. Tracks are accepted but singing a cappella is not accepted. DANCING: Come in comfortable, easy-to-move-in clothes for the dance portion. ACTING: Readings will come directly from the script. REHEARSALS: Will start in late January. Most rehearsals begin at 6:00 or 6:30 on weeknights and during the day on weekends. You’ll have the chance to fill out a conflict calendar at the auditions, so be sure to bring your schedule with you. If you are interested please apply.
