Dance Opportunities for Kids in "The Lion King Jr"

"The Lion King Jr" auditions are open to students in 4th through 12th grades. Please see the details below. Additional info: The time is come-and-go, but plan to spend 20-30 minutes. Come prepared with a memorized piece (something like a poem or a monologue) and an a cappella song. Directors will also include quick piano-accompanied singing of ‘Happy Birthday’ and a short dance audition - they will teach you a short bit of choreography, and then you’ll present it with a group. Casting will be posted on Friday, December 20th by 5 pm. Note that an Audition Workshop will take place on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. This free workshop is optional for auditioning for “The Lion King Jr.”, but it’s a great chance to get some practice on the stage, brush up on those acting skills, and get some helpful pointers for your upcoming auditions!
