Casting Call for Boys and Girls for "A Wrinkle in Time" Play
Audition "A Wrinkle in Time" Play. This production only casts student artists between the ages of 8 and 16. Please see the details below. About the project: One of literature’s most enduring young heroines, Meg Murry, is back — braces, stubbornness and all. Once again, she’s joining forces with Mrs Whatsit, Charles Wallace, Calvin O’Keefe, and more to battle the forces of evil so she can rescue her father, save humanity, and find herself. In the end, we know two things for sure: 1. Love CAN overcome evil, and 2. There IS such a thing as a tesseract. Perfect for schools and touring groups, this one-act adaptation of the beloved novel masterfully retells the story in a fresh and enduring way. Additional info: Sign-in will begin at 10:30 a.m. Auditions will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. Students need only attend one audition session, though welcome to attend both. WHAT TO PREPARE Sides or scripts will be provided for students to read from at the auditions. Directors ask that students be prepared to fill out any conflicts they may have Mon.-Fri. evenings and Saturdays/Sundays from the end of September through mid-January. Additionally, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and secure shoes.
