Casting call for boys and girls for the stage play "The Prom." Check out the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: The careers of four eccentric Broadway stars are struggling and they desperately need a new stage upon which to shine bright once more. Seeking out a cause, they head straight to small-town Indiana. Through social media, they have heard of trouble brewing around a school prom. Local girl, Emma Nolan, wants to take her girlfriend to prom but the homophobic PTA is on a mission to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow. Determined to transform lives and put themselves back in the limelight, the Broadway celebrities muscle in to change the town and give Emma the prom she deserves. Additional info: Please note: there is a production fee applied. All actors should be prepared to sing bars 5-67 of “Love Thy Neighbor.” Those interested in the role of Emma should also be prepared to sing bars 5-42 of “Dance with You.” At the audition, actors are also welcome to sing acapella 16-32 bars of a song of their choosing (not required). CALLBACKS 12/18 @ 7pm-9:30pm (if needed). The callbacks list will be posted here by 10am on 12/18. REHEARSALS Mon/Tues/Thu 7pm-9:30pm: 1/2-2/13 Wed 7pm-9:30 pm: 2/5 Sat 9am-12pm: 2/1, 2/8, 2/15 Sat 12:30pm-3pm: 1/3, 1/11, 1/18 & 1/25 Not every actor is called for every rehearsal. TECH REHEARSALS Mon-Wed 5:30pm-9:30pm: 2/17, 2/18 (final dress) & 2/19 (final dress) PERFORMANCES Thu/Fri/Sat @ 7pm: 2/20-2/22, 2/27-3/1 & 3/6-3/8 Sun @ 2pm: 2/23, 3/2 & 3/9 Understudies perform in lead roles on 2/23, 2/27 & 3/7 Please see the attachment for details.
