Seeking Boys and Girls for "How I Became a Pirate" Play
Audition for "How I Became a Pirate" play. Seeking teens to play pirates and boys aged 8-12 to portray Jeremy Jacob and a small pirate ensemble. Please see the details below. Additional info: Please come prepared to learn a small combination, read sides, and sing 16 bars of an up-tempo/comedic song of your choice. The show runs from February 8 – March 2 Saturdays & Sundays 2 pm Plus vacation week matinees on February 18, 19, and 20 at 2 pm 5 school matinees are tentatively scheduled for Feb 12,13,14, 26, and 27 at 10 am. (the Pirate Captain – a man of girth with a “braided beard” on his chin)
(slight build with wire-rim eyeglasses – philosophical – intellectual – who gets blamed for everything that goes wrong)
(foreboding – scowling grin – wears a patch on eye – but yet – he’s a “sensitive guy”)
(talks with a French accent – the ship’s cook – enjoys fine French cuisine)
(he wears a stuffed Parrot on his shoulder – “he’s only a stuffed, plush Parrot but we don’t have the heart to tell ‘im ‘ees not real”)
