About the projects: "Fences" Troy Maxson was a star of the Negro baseball leagues, but now it’s 1957 and he’s a garbage man in Pittsburgh. In one of August Wilson’s best and most well-known plays, we see one man struggle with disappointment and the effect it has on his marriage and relationship with his sons. This powerful Pulitzer Prize-winning play is both epic and intimate and a must-see theatrical event. "Honky Tonk Angels" This feel-good, boot stompin’ musical celebrates the enduring power of music and friendship. Armed with only their dreams and a bus ticket, three sassy gals leave their thankless lives behind and head to Nashville to become country music singers. Revisit dozens of pop-country favorites like “Stand By Your Man,” “Ode To Billy Joe,” “Delta Dawn,” and many more. Troy’s youngest, she is innocent and untouched by the weight of his burdens. Raynell loves her father unconditionally and becomes a source of healing for Rose, who pours all her love into her.

DARLENE for "HONKY TONK ANGELS"Female17-18 y.o.All ethnicities

A young woman from the deep South. She is pretty, sweet, and simple. A young woman who grew up in a coal mining town in West Virginia and the Mississippi Delta. She plays a simple guitar. She also clogs (the mountain version of “tap dancing”). She sings “Coal Miner's Daughter,” “Ode To Billy Joe,” etc. Vocally Darlene is sweet with an open, innocent sound. Ideally plays guitar. Playing other instruments and other special skills are a plus. Harmonizes well.
