Welsch is a spy who writes down everything she knows about everyone. When her secret notebook ends up in the wrong hands, will Harriet find a way to put her life and friendships back together? Additional info: Callbacks: July 6th, 5-9pm, location TBD First Rehearsal: July 27, 2026 Opening: Sept 11, 2026 Closing: Sept 20, 2026 Possible Added Performance Date: VT- Sept 19 AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: Contemporary or Contemporary/Comedic Monologue: one to two minutes max. You will have a maximum of two minutes total to present your monologue(s). Presenting two contrasting monologues (dramatic/comedic) within the two-minute time limit is fine. Fearless, bold, and endlessly curious. Harriet is an aspiring writer and self-appointed spy who records her unfiltered observations about the people around her. Energetic, imaginative, stubborn, and highly physical, she drives the action of the story. The actor playing Harriet should be capable of balancing sharp comedic instincts with genuine emotional vulnerability as the character navigates friendship, conflict, and personal growth. Strong stage presence required.

Harriet’s loyal best friend. Athletic, thoughtful, and good-natured, Sport often acts as the voice of reason among his friends. Beneath his easygoing exterior, he carries concerns about family responsibilities and financial pressures. Looking for an actor with sincerity, strong physicality, and emotional authenticity.

Harriet’s other best friend. Intensely interested in science, fiercely opinionated, and delightfully dramatic. Janie’s quick temper and dry wit create many of the show’s funniest moments. Strong comic timing and a willingness to embrace physical comedy are essential.

The self-appointed leader of Harriet’s classmates and Harriet’s primary rival. Organized, proper, ambitious, and often overconfident, Marion thrives on being in charge. The role calls for a performer who can project authority while finding the humor in the character’s larger-than-life personality.

Ideal for performers who enjoy strong character work, physical comedy, and creative storytelling. New and experienced performers alike are encouraged to audition.
