Kid Actors Needed for "Fun Home" Play Audition

About the project: SYNOPSIS: Based on the real-life story of graphic novelist Alison Bechdel, when her father dies unexpectedly, graphic novelist Alison dives deep into her past to tell the story of the man whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life. Moving between past and present, Alison relives her unique childhood playing at the family's Bechdel Funeral Home, her growing understanding of her own sexuality, and the looming, unanswerable questions about her father's hidden desires. Fun Home is a refreshingly honest, wholly original musical about seeing your parents through grown-up eyes. Rated for Mature audiences for language and adult content throughout. Additional info: Actors do not need to be the exact ages of the characters to audition/be considered for them. NOTE: ROY, MARK, PETE, AND BOBBY JEREMY may be played by one actor. WHAT TO PREPARE: Please prepare a song of your choosing that showcases your vocal range AND emotional vulnerability. Songs should be 60 - 90 seconds in length. Please bring a device with a backing track of your audition piece to auditions. A bluetooth speaker will be provided! OPTIONAL: You may also prepare a monologue (60-90 seconds in length).
